Our copper “Architecture” range includes various factory-treated surfaces aimed at immediately inducing the required levels of oxidation and patination. The factory processes are similar to the natural processes. They use copper minerals but no aggressive chemical treatment.
Brown and Brown Light
Our “Brown” copper products are sheets pre-oxidised in our factory with a brown oxidised surface which otherwise takes some time to develop. The actual colour depends on the thickness of the oxide layer. Variants are “Brown Light” and a darker “Brown” hue.
Use the Brown products to minimise traces of manual work and other building activities, which may appear soon after installing “shining” standard copper products.

Green and Blue
Our Green and Blue products are pre-patinated in the rolling mill to have a green patina straight away. The patina will otherwise occur after some time of exposure to the natural environment. Pre-patination supports the process of natural patination by environmental effects, which largely depend on local weather and rainfall conditions.
We can provide patinations of various intensities that may or may not expose some of the deeply oxidised background material. Architects can choose the type and intensity of the blue patina by opting for a surface treatment called Blue Living.
Our factory develops specific and tailored patination levels to meet particular design requirements or to adapt the product to historically patinated copper of existing buildings.

Brass
Unser Brass ist eine Legierung aus Kupfer und Zink mit einer charakteristischen goldgelben Farbe. Wenn unser Brass der Atmosphäre ausgesetzt ist, beginnt sich die Oberfläche innerhalb von Wochen zu verdunkeln und kann sich innerhalb eines Jahr in ein Dunkelbraun verwandeln.
Es hat sehr gute mechanische Eigenschaften und ein sehr geringes Risiko für das Auftreten einer Spannungsrisskorrosion. Die Legierung Brass eignet sich für den Einsatz unter nahezu allen Klima- und Umweltbedingungen.
Brass Weathered (pre-oxidised brass) is burnished at the rolling mill to immediately provide the product with an evenly oxidised brown surface that will otherwise take quite some time of exposure to the natural environment.

Bronze
Our bronze is a copper and tin alloy characterised by a colour similar to that of our standard copper. If exposed to the effects of weather, a bronze surface will slowly turn into an even, dark chocolate brown or even into a black hue.

Royal
Our Royal is a copper, aluminium and zinc alloy favoured for its shiny, golden appearance. If exposed to the environment, the material develops a thin, protective oxidised layer that grows in thickness in the course of weathering. In the end, it has a matte, golden to golden brown surface but develops no blue or green patina. Consider coastal regions and wetlands a special case.
